I don't think there really is a way to deal with it. I just let people think what they want.

I still have that problem, looking pregnant, after almost a year of being on dialysis (capd).
My nurse thought perhaps because I am short (5ft,1 inch), that it just 'stuck out' more.
I try to not use as much fluid during the day when I am up and around, and use more
during the evening, on the cycler. I STILL wobble sometimes when I walk!!
That, and I FEEL pregnant, the aching sides, etc.

Dee Dee,
The only time I used a 2.5, I felt very bloated. I was using 2L and by the time the dwell was over, had pulled too much fluid in. I would expect it to get better. Why are you using 2.5 and 4.25? Do you need fluid removal? Too much 4.25 too often will damage the peritoneum from what I have heard.  I should talk---I only use 1.5s in 2L exchanges overnight with a cycler and am dry during the day so really do not have problems with bloating.  I do hope it improves for you though.

I just wanted to say this to you Ginger, everyones body is different. I never used a 1.5% EVER, as it pulled off NO fluid for me, and I would then get fluid over-loaded. I only used 2.5% and 4.25%, everyones body is different and she has to do whats best for her and what works for her.
