I am really curious as to what my arm is going to look like after fistula placement.  I gather they all look different.  I have found a few photo's here and there on the net,  but if anyone would care to post a picture of their fistula or provide a link of fistula's and fistula scars, I would appreciate it.

Just disregard and forgive me if you find my request too personal or in bad taste.

The only surgeries I have ever had are my kidney biopsy and I had my tonsils take out as a child.  The only scars I have are a few small cuts and scrapes in life.  I am 47 and in good shape for my age and maybe I am making too much of it.  Anyways,  I just thought I would ask.

Thank you,

I'll post some. I don't have them saved on my computer, but I posted them before, so i'll post the link::: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=15391.0 it's the second post from the bottom.

You most likely won't have the long scar. My fistula was too deep so they had to move it. So that's what the long scar is from.

Oh yeah, and the scar's less than a year old. So it hasn't really faded yet.

Mine is 6 months old.  I have two scars because the first one (closest to my wrist) did not work. BTW, I am 46.
