Odd family link to kidney disease

I was looking at family geneology today. We have a very detailed family tree and it includes lots of extra information.  I just read that my great grandfather died of Brights disease.  The term isn't used any more. It is the name of an English physican. But, Brights disease is now called glomulernephritis  ----Wow, did I spell that wrong!!  Anyway, just thought it was interesting since I have always been told there is no history of kidney disease.   Does that back my reasoning for not wanting my children to donate to me?       Back to the geneology to see what other diseases there is lurking in my genes ----just kidding!  LOL

My great-grandfather too Paris.  His youngest daughter, one of my grandmother's two sisters, was just 10 days old when he died.

Thanks, Okarol.  My family loves details!!  I can tell you when they came over to America, who fought in the Civil War and if they were wounded.     I was reading the obituaries and it is the first time I read any mention of kidney issues.  I know, I am bored today.  This all was prompted because a long lost cousin of some sort left a message yesterday asking if I was related to the Linamen family and he was looking for any information I might have.  He knew my Mom, but I don't remember him at all.  You know how it goes, you look up one thing online and pretty soon four hours have flown by!!
