Welcome to our community.  Are you saying that you are not on dialysis as yet?  If so, this is a great place to prepare yourself for it.  There are many questions that are answered here.  Maybe you have some of you own. Go ahead, ask away.  We have all types here - patients, caregivers, spouses, nurses, techs, a doctor, friends, significant others, etc.  Hope to hear a lot more from you.

Hi Hippy and welcome....... :welcomesign;

I think you will like our site.  Very informative.  A good place to start is the Site Rules and Regulations
http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=540.0  Then take a look at the different sections and start reading.  If you have a question, ask and someone will answer you.  Thanks for checking us out.

Hi
I am Hippy. I am tired much of the time and Anemic.
A Nephro told me I has kidney cysts and need to be checked further.

 :welcomesign; There are several here with polycystic kidney disease -- not all are on dialysis.  About half of PKD patients over age 60 never need dialysis.

Fatigue is a common symptom of PKD, and anemia would make it even worse.  What has the Neph suggested for treating the anemia?

Have you had an ultrasound of your kidneys yet?  Regardless of what test is ordered on your kidneys, be sure you do not have the contrast dye which may accelerate kidney failure.

There are some PKD groups on-line.  The one I like best is

    health.groups.yahoo.com/group/PKDCARE/

seems to have the best PKD info and has some medical professionals on it on a regular basis.

This is great place for general kidney and dialysis information, and lots of kind support -- glad you're here.

Hi, Hippy, welcome to the site.  I can relate to being anemic, I really struggle with it.  I hope everything goes well for you, keep visiting the site and asking questions, we're glad to have you here.
