Life is great!

Today I am feeling a bit better.  Still nauseated but hasn't lasted all day and the headache has gone.  I am going to give it a few more days and get my bloods done again.  If my creatinine has gone down - and I am no longer putting off the start of dialysis even if it has - I definitely blame the sudden deterioration on the physiotens.  Today my mind is clearer and I definitely feel better.  I am just interested to see if my bloods show a positive improvement.  Thanks Linda for checking it out for me.  I was very cautious starting the drug and the first day I felt disorientated and the drop in blood pressure was too dramatic so it must be very taxing on your system.  Like I said though, I will start my training regardless even if my levels have bounced back to a more acceptable level.  Don't want to wait until I feel like I have the last week again. xx

yeah I never heard of that drug before.. sounds scary!

When I was taking bp meds I was put on coversyl and that was really great for me - just a gentle drop and not too much in the BP I went from just above normal (eg: say 140/85ish) down to 125/70ish which was great. Last year though they took me off them totally (dialysis lowered my BP enough it seems) - one less pill to take! LOL.

Yesterday we had a patient come into the unit who was just starting dialysis. Her creat went down from 750 to 550 and she was very happy. Man I'd love a creat of 750! LOL. Still she did 4 hours of dialysis...... so I definitely agree even if your creat goes down to not put it off any more - as sucky as that is.

lots of hugs  :grouphug;
