Funny you say that kit, because when I did in-center hemo I was *always* the youngest by YEARS.. so I agree...:)

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

 :waving; Hi Matt,
My daughter is 21 and was on hemo for 3 years, just got a transplant 7 months ago. She too is more focused on other forums - she loves Mystery Science Theater and Gaia and she likes writing stories.
Welcome! As we all know, dialysis isn't fun, but it sure is great to have a community who understands!

Hi, Matt, this is Auntie Bajanne.  Not in your age group, but wishing you all the best.  There is lots going on on this site, so just take advantage of it.
Blessings!

What's dialysis?

« Reply #32 on: September 09, 2007, 09:40:47 AM »

Hi Matt,

I'm Matt and was diagnosed last year at the age of 34 so I am kind of in between the young guns and the old timers!

Welcome to the site and feel free to ask about anything that bothers you.

Matty.

It took me from age 48 (kidney disease diagnosis) to age 54 to actually get on dialysis. Most of the people I see in the hospital are much older. But I heard there is an eight year old who gets dialysis. People of all ages I guess.
