Welcome to IHD! When you repost the question, reword it. What exactly are you asking about how it is done? The taking out of the catheter??

Anyway, what kind of kidney failure do you have? How old are you? This is the thread to tell all about you ;)  :2thumbsup; :clap; :welcomesign;

A big welcome to our community!  You have come at what I consider is just the right time.  Right at the beginning, like me.  This site and the wonderful members, moderators and administrators will go through all of this challenge of renal failure with you.  Feel free to ask your questions (in the appropriate sections as the mods have told you).  Check through our many posts and you will see some that will answer your questions as well.  But keep on posting.  We need to know how you are doing.
Not prying, but could you tell us a little more about yourself in this section?
Here is a group hug from all of us. :grouphug;

Hi Charlie,

There are a lot of post in general discussion on Chest Catheters being removed.  You can go to the search button and type in Catheter Removal and you might get some answers.  Welcome to our site.  I'm glad you decided to join.  You will find lots of information here.  I could spend days just reading the posts here.

Best of luck to you on your dialysis journey.

Hi... My name is Charlie from Mass, I have been on  dialysis for 7 months now and am starting to adjust to the routine. They just started useing my arm 3 weeks ago and I am going to have my neck cath out in a few days, can anyone tell me of the way it is done and how long it takes.
Hi my name is Cherri I am new here.  I just started dialysis a month ago. I am 38 years old with a husband and three children.  This has been a very scarey time in my life.  I am still depressed all the time which everyone tells me will go away after awhile. just was browsing and found this site so I can have someone to chat with that really knows what I am feeling.
