2 year transplant celebration a success!

What a great time we had. The weather was cold, but not severely cold. There was no wind, so we got to have the huge bonfire. Etta cried when we announced Etta's Gift. She was truly grateful and super excited. So is her husband. Everyone there thought that starting a non-profit in her honor was a great way to say "Thank You". I can't wait to get moving on this. Just so all of you know where we are in the process, we have all the paperwork signed and returned to the Atty and now he sends everything in for our "exempt status". He said this can take anywhere from two months to six, depending on how satisfied the IRS is with the information provided.
We can begin accepting donations, so in anyone is interested please let me know, but we will not have the exempt letter for your tax work until we are approved. It will be retroactive back to the founding date of Sept 2, 2010, however. You will be able to file it next year. Thank you all so much for your warm wishes and suggestions!
Here is a photo of the celebratory bonfire. The photo does it no justice. It was huge! My husband does everything big.

You're not joking about a big bonfire!
Is that you, the shadowy figure in the foreground?

Yes, that's me.
The bonfire was so big. Anyone within 2 miles of our place who could see the smoke drove by. It was funny, it was like a parade of cars on my street. We called the fire dept and sheriff's dept earlier that afternoon to let them know we were having the bonfire. I'm sure they got lots of calls.
And Paris, you'll meet her in 2011 when you come to visit! I hope!!!
