If I had the option of using the media, I would.... so I can't be mad at him. Hope it works out for him.

Actually in the interview, the guy looking for the kidney donation said his doctors told him, "... you're not really a candidate for a life-long dialysis..."

It is claimed the doctor said this to him, however I would like to know the reasoning behind such a statement also.

I'm wondering what makes a person not a canidate for "life-long dialysis" but they are a canidate for transplant?

Sometimes television reporters get the facts mixed up because most of them are generalists and few are experts at anything. Sometime the facts are exaggerated intentionally or not such as one site that claimed a dialysis patient would die after 5 days without treatment.

Huh - such a strange choice of words. Are any of us really good candidates for "life-long dialysis"? I've only run across a few people happy to join the party - and I've usually had reason to question their sanity. How do you qualify for that election primary, anyhow?
I'd like to be the first candidate in line for a cure, but I can't figure out where the line starts. . .

Maybe to make his "appeal" more appealing, he had to make it sound as if he has no choice ... he must have a transplant, so someone give it up.
