So today I went to University of Wisconsin in Madison to get on WI's list.  After all, Illinois has a 3-5 year wait average, while Wisconsins was 6-12 month average for me!  It turns out the wait will probably be less than 3 months!!  There is only 5 people with my blood type on the list, 2 of which are on hold, and the other 3 have very high antibodies, which I do not have!  Plus, I should get listed on Monday!!  :yahoo;  :bandance;
AND THEN, a few weeks ago, I got a text message from my boyfiend's mom that her co-worker wanted to get tested to see if she is a match!  I sent the info to her, and I got a text message today that she filled out the info, so I said to fax it!
Now excuse me while I  :waiting; :waiting; :waiting; :waiting; :waiting;

That's good news and odd news all at once. Odd news because I remember how the boyfriends mom was when he wished to be tested, but she'll let someone else go thru the process..

Either way I hope it works out Jess.
Good Luck

I hope others read this and try not to think about the waiting times. When you match you match. Jess was on a very short time. So was I. I can image the people waiting long past the average time can get very, very, discouraged.
