Only now checking this out! But my serious prayers are with Zeke (and you, Paris, and his mom). I am looking forward to hearing good news about his condition. Paris, I hope you can feel my cyberhug. My caring thoughts are with you.

Zeke is still being "evaluated". The medicine for abdominal headaches doesn't seem to make any difference. He and his sister, Paxton-6, spent the day with me yesterday. They are in year round school and are tracked out for three weeks. Twice during the day, he threw up. Just in the middle of playing and he is off to the bathroom. And then back to whatever he was doing. We did have a nice day together. He loves to play board games and cards, so we played everything we could think off. Paxton drew lots of pictures. One was a detailed one of me with brown and gray hair! I said "I thought I had light brown hair". She said, "no, Nana, brown and gray" Where is my Miss Clarol??
Thanks for you good thougths for my sweet Zeke

I know they have probably ruled this out long ago, but I mention it because my hubby was being treated for an undiagnosed stomach ailment for years - they thought maybe an ulcer - but didn't quite fit. They finally determined it was a bacteria. "As many as 80% of ulcers are associated with Helicobacter pylori, a spiral-shaped bacterium that lives in the acidic environment of the stomach, however only 20% of those cases go to a doctor." After antibiotic treatment he was good as new (after years of them telling him it was diet, stress, acid, blah blah blah.)
I pray Zeke can get some comfort soon, he sounds like such a treasure!

Thanks Okarol, I will pass this on to Melissa. It is worth looking into. I haven't heard of it before, but your husband got the same answers Zeke is getting --stress, acid. Maybe this is it. I am going to email Melissa right now.

Today was another visit with the neurologist. Zeke has now started having full blown panic attacts. All tests, labs, etc, say there is nothing physically wrong. Now he is addressing the anxiety. The first med for abdominal migranes hasn't made a difference. Dr. is adding a new med. It will take 6-8 weeks to show if it is working. He is also suggesting a child psycologist so Zeke can learn some coping skills. I think his Mom is glad that something is being done and maybe Zeke will start feeling better. We just keep moving forward.
