Friday he sees the neurologist.  At least he doesn't have to drink Barium for that!   We played Star Wars cards again last night.  Best $5 I have ever spent.   Now I need to find something for the next appt!   Thanks for your good thoughts.   :cuddle;

His neurologist appt is tomorrow at 8.  Not sure what they will do.  He has another appointment next week, but I can't remember what specialist that is.  Thanks for all your good wishes.  I told Zeke that lots of people were thinking about him.   We don't talk about it in front of him, so this is my safe place to go to with my worries.  Thanks, friends    :cuddle;

One more appointment out of the way.  We liked the doctor and Zeke did well at the appt.  There are a couple of explanations. One being the abdominal migraines.  He is giving him a med to start today and take daily to see if it makes any difference.  Another thing could be a cyst in the brain. So, Monday Zeke will have an MRI to see how the brain looks.   We took him to school after the appt. and walked him to his class.  Then, two hours later, Melissa got a call that he had thrown up.  Poor kid. This has to be wearing him out.  Today, his surprise was a checkers set so we could play while Mommy did the paperwork.  I am going to run out of ideas for surprises if they don't figure this out soon!   Thanks, once more for giving me a place to come to.  Melissa called me a little while ago and simply said " I am worried".  Nothing like a Mother's worry. (or Nana's)

paris, I pray that the medication will help Zeke. You know that Len goes through just about the same thing. I have found that Popsicles really seem to help and the doctors can't explain it. Constant throwing up really screws with the body as a whole and with the heat we have been having dehydration is a real concern. Please keep us updated and I hope you have a quiet weekend.  :cuddle;

Oh Paris I am just now getting to read this. I am so sorry to hear.  I hope they figure out what is wrong and get it under control . Let us know how the meds are working.

When I was little I used to throw up like that.  No one ever thought anything of it. I still do now when I get really nervous but I can control it much better now then I could at age 8.   Everyone always thought I made myself do it cause I was mad or something. Matthew still believes that. And it isn't, it just happens.  It is just how my body deals with stuff.  But I do hope they find out what is it for him soon.  Throwing up has to be one of the worst feelings in the world.  Poor baby.....I am with you mommy and Nana worries are never fun.  :cuddle; :cuddle;

My little guy is such a trooper!  He did so well with the MRI.  The tech said he was the best and was the stillest kid they have had.  Zeke said afterwards that it felt like he had a nice massage!!  Now we wait for the results.  I really believe there is nothing going on with the brain, but they have to rule it out.  (please let me be right!)   We seem to spend a lot of time waiting for results.   Thanks for all your good thoughts.  I appreciate all of you so much.   :cuddle;

 :bandance;     :bandance;     :bandance;   The MRI of Zeke's brain came back clear!!   :yahoo;  Nothing but brains in there!!    :clap;     My daughter was so excited when she called.    Thank you, thank you, thank you   :yahoo;    Today he had labs drawn.  The nurse kept telling him not to look.  He said he wanted to watch the needle.  Finally, his Mom said "he knows what he can handle". So Zeke told the nurse he would count to 3 and then she could stick him!  He had 7 vials drawn and watched the whole thing.  I know lots of adults that don't like to look, let alone a 7 year old.  He is an amazing little guy and dealing with all the tests very well.  What a week this has been!   Thanks for all your good thoughts.    :grouphug;

Fabulous news!  :cheer: :cheer:

He IS a trooper! Yes, there are so many adults who couldn't handle what he is doing!

Now let's get to the bottom of this! It's time for the medical profession to figure out what is going on!  :2thumbsup;

Thinking of you and your family!
