Ha ha, just read through this whole thread.  Very interesting.  Unfortunately my name is just my surname.  I was like Ken Shelmerdine when I signed up.  Did it really quickly and then realised everyone else had picked interesting names.  Ah well.

I just took off the 2000 from my name recently.  Although I have already explained, I will do so again.  I am from Barbados and our nickname is Bajan (from Barbadian).  It is pronounced like Cajun.  I am a French teacher and in French when something ends in 'n', the female form is 'nne'.  So I am a female Bajan - Bajanne. (Bay-Jane)
Most people in IHD thing of me as Baja-Anne! I can live with that - it is cute.

Hmmm.

Back in the 80s, I was a bass player in a few heavy metal bands.  (glam/hair metal)  Given that that pays well for only a very few, I had a day job in a bar to support myself.  When people would talk about me by name when I wasn't around, people who didn't know my name would usually say "Oh, yeah, she's the little rocker, right?"
