anybody who's laidback and has a bit of money,so i don't have stress about the cost of living on planet earth
-
this is a good thread but I need to think about it, first thought, I say someone with iron clad kidneys, who could donate one if she wanted too
-
I would be Oprah Winfrey, without the childhood trauma and the weight problems, but with all the cash!
-
and I could be Gale, not an ounce of fat...and a loaded best friend
-
I would be my dog, Hop-Sing. He has it made!! A bowl full of food left out for him all the time -- plus he eats "people" food every time we do (I even cook an extra burger, small steak, or chicken just for him -- I cook for "three" -- me, Marvin, and Hop-Sing). He sleeps in a warm, king-sized bed (and the people move over when he wants a certain spot) and has about 100 toys to play with. He sits in laps, and he gets lots of pats (from Marvin) and kisses (from me). If one of his toys falls over behind the bed, he barks until I get it for him. All he has to do is whimper, and I'm right there to see what he needs or wants. Plus, he doesn't know that gas is almost $4 a gallon. He doesn't worry about how the bills are going to get paid. He doesn't have a sinus headache right now that would kill a horse. He doesn't know that we are poor now and that the world is in turmoil. He is loved, and pampered, and babied every day of his life. In a typical day for him, he sleeps, eats, runs out in the yard to use the bathroom (and runs right back in to the air conditioning, I might add), plays with his toys, sits in his momma's lap, sleeps, eats, lays in front of the storm door and looks out, sleeps, and eats. Every night, he gets a piece of cheese (his favorite food) before we go to bed just because he's been a good boy all day.
...and don't say this answer doesn't count because he's not a person -- he most certainly is! He's a little furry person with four legs and a curly tail!
-
Melanie Gates - Bill's wife. It'd be wonderful to have that kind of cash to really make a difference for the charities you want to support.
-
First thing that comes to mind. . .an oil executive! :cowboy:
I am sure that as I give it a bit more thought, I will come up with a more "meaningful" answer!
-
yes Hop-Sing is a person and it would be cool to live his life
what a life
-
I wish I was a person with good kidneys and not facing this operation tomorrow
-
I would still be me. Despite of all the problems, I'm still an awesome individual. (maybe I shouldn't hit the moonshine this early at night)
-

you are awesome can you send some of that moonshine by UPS
-
Actually you can buy it legally now in liquor stores. It's not quite as potent as the homemade stuff but it's a great mood enhancer and diuretic. I love your attitude, Twirl.
-
oh now I know your secret for not gaining much fluid between treatments
cool :yahoo; is it called Moonshine in the stores
-
I agree with Flip. I'd like to stay me BUT since we're wishing, I'm calling for some minor modifications.
1. Damn good kidneys. Both of them. Then I could donate one.
2. 3 no make that 4 inches taller.
3. straight legs, no knock knees
Could always use more money but now I'm being greedy.
-
I wouldn't change anything. I like being poor! It builds character. :rofl; :urcrazy;
-
I would not be a person, I'd be an ice cold water fountain in the middle of a square
I would have cold water running in my veins and coming out openings
fresh, clean, clear, and icy cold
water for everyone
( not gum wads or spitting allowed)
( no peeing either)
-
The wizard of OZ.
-
I want to be the person who finds a cure ( and not just a transplant or dialysis) for renal patients
-
keith----- I want you to be that person too
-
I want Keith to cure kidney disease.
I, on the other hand, would want to be my husband.
He is so free-spirited and happy-go-lucky with a strong ego and lust for life. Nothing brings him down.
Plus, he's perfectly healthy. If I could be my husband I would turn around the next day and divorce me.
-
Aha Sunny. Good thing you're NOT him. Clearly he knows something about you that you're missing.
PS. I know exactly how you feel but my husband feels otherwise. Go figure. :cuddle;
-
I want to be rich, rich, rich so I would have enough money to rescue & care for every animal that is homeless, hungry or abused.
I would also like to be a judge so I could hand out a life sentence to anyone that abused an animal, any animal. These people don't deserve freedom, some don't deserve to live.
Oh how I wish Bill Gates was an animal lover.
-
mcjane---- I wish you were that person also
bless the beast and the children; they have no choice
I wish I was a mermaid so I could swim all day and eat all the seafood in the ocean....oh wait, I guess Mermaid's eat seafood unless it is cannibalism.
I would not have to worry about fluid intake....or salt......or swollen feet.... maybe a swollen fin....what could be better than swimming all day and living in the ocean......
-
is it called Moonshine in the stores
Actually it's called Everclear. It's a potent grain alcohol, but nothing near as strong as the real stuff.
Even with all the ups and downs my life has given me I have to say I am quite content to be myself. A richer version of myself would be nice though. I wouldn't trade all the experiences and adventures I have had good or bad for the world.
-
i'm really happy being me, kidney's and all (sure it would be nice not to be sick, but since there's nothing i can do about it why complain.) it would be nice to be me with a bit more money so i could do more for my kids and grandsons, but i don't expect that to happen.
-
:bump;

Miss ya keith!
I would like to be me but healthy
-
I like me. I am me. Wouldn't change me. Well....I might be a lil thinner....NAHHHHHH I'd be me, just as I am! :clap;
-
at this moment I am thinking I would be Natalie Cole so I could sing for a new kidney
or I would be a fairy godmother to many on this site -
wave my wand and everything is better
and then I would move on and be Coach Sherman and play Bubba Woodum in every game -
Aggie's need a winning season
-
I think I like being me. Maybe I would wish not to be such a push over. But I dont' think I would take away being sick. Being sick has made me who I am, and I kinda like who I am at the moment.
-
I think I would be myself, too. I have a great husband, lots of very interesting friends and a job that I love (most of the time). All in all, I feel pretty lucky. The kidney thing kind of sucks, but life ain't perfect! :2thumbsup;
-
I would like to be Michelle Obama. She is so smart and beautiful, she has a great husband and she is in a position to help a lot of people.
-
There's a saying in Britain 'More money than Soft Mick' I'd like to be Soft Mick!
-
soft mick ? I am sure it cannot be as bad as it sounds
-
When I was a kid (a skinny little white boy) I wanted to be Ella Fitzgeral (go figure). Now I'd just like to be that skinny little white boy again.
-
She does have a very warm and life-embracing voice!
Listening to her songs on a "rainy day",
her voice and songs make life sound so attractive again!
-
I want to be Richard Branson :) Because I like to have a jet plane or personal plane to go everywhere in this world :D
-
Bill Gates because
1. Money to burn.
2. Charities can be started out to do good.
3. I could screw with the people's minds and lives with Windows programs that mess up your internet and computer world and do not work properly until you have given me tons of money to fix it!! :rofl; :rofl;
-

Haha he wouldn't be a bad person to be. You sure can do a lot with that kind of money
-
Wow, Keith... I noted your profile. Tell us more detail about what you've done.
-
I would like to be me 15 years ago.
-
I wouldn't mind being myself 50 years ago... I know for sure I'd take better care of my kidneys....
-
I would like to be the guy that helped push the Kitty Hawk so the Wright Brothers could make their first flight,
or the one that told young Banting that there must be something that he could do to help people with diabetes
or the one that agreed to run Rosevelt's campaign for President despite his being a cripple
or maybe the one that look at Peter and said, "hey maybe you guys should write some of this stuff down because this Jesus fella seems pretty smart."
Barring the ability to re- emerge as someone else I shall try to be the best man that I can be.
