Title: Count Down to Transplant!
Post by: Donnab on September 13, 2007, 07:44:09 PM: Well the big day is almost here (September 25th).....Any suggestions on what to prepare at home before the transplant?.....My brother and I live together and will be recovering together at home :yahoo;.....looking forward to all that quality time together :beer1;

I know there are lots of recipients here who can share their experience. Here's some info for you as a donor:

Take your own pillow. Hospital pillows suck. Hope everything goes well for you. I don't know how I would deal with the anticipation of waiting. Len's happen so fast didn't have advance notice to worry. Take care for the next couple of weeks. Look forward to hearing your story.

This is probably the best piece of advice I have heard yet. Since I have been admitted to the hospital over 100 times in my life, and have had stays over 4-6 times lasting longer than 30 day periods, I *always* bring my own pillow... and a few other personal things the hospital either doesn't provide or doesn't provide good one's of. I never thought to actually state it. :)
