Is there another center you can try? Just because one says no does not mean another will. Each center has a different protocol and you may qualify at a different center.

Good Luck

I saw that this was OHSU and Legacy Good Sam isn't an option because of your insurance. Is there any way to talk to your insurance company about trying Legacy again? Otherwise, your next closest center is probably in Seattle.  :grouphug;

I would think you could ask the specific reasons they denied you now and what they want you to do to fix them. I was delayed while they treated my CMV and c. diff. You have to ask lots of questions.

Your post brings up a couple of things...

The transplant center said "at this time," so it is not totally excluding you from getting listed.  Did the transplant coordinator give you the reasons why?  Are the other medical issues you're facing treatable to the point of not affecting a transplant?  From previous posts, I believe you're experiencing infections and internal bleeding?  Age alone is not a reason to be excluded.

As Deanne stated, you might need to search for another transplant center within a reasonable distance that your insurance company will approve.  At the minimum it should cover you for a second opinion consult.

Sorry to read that you are having to go through all of this.  I know how frustrating it is.  Wish you the best. ~ Noah

the internal bleeding im having i thought was do to my hemroides
but thats not it
for i did see the er doc about it
and he said the lining was thining, thats why i had been bleeding

To me that explanation makes no sense. You need to see a gastroenterologist. Whether or not you get a transplant, you can't go around bleeding out. It could kill you.
