My husband (my living donor) found out his GFR test results this morning and he found out he had a very rare GFR level-his was 191!! His kidneys are quite strong and his transplant surgeon told him that he has a special set of kidneys that most people with TWO kidneys, don't even have the same function! We couldn't believe it! We are in a state of shock! Needless to say this doctor admitted in all his years as a doctor, he has never seen that before! LOL! ;D
The "normal" GFR level for most people is 91.
We are in total shock about it (in a good way) :2thumbsup; :yahoo;

If all goes well, my transplant should proceed this coming January or February! I'm so excited!!!!!! :clap; :2thumbsup; :yahoo; :beer1;
