Just wanted to start a thread because I'm thinking of Dan - going through his cath and fistula surgery and dialysis as well. That's a lot to go through in a short time!! I just want Dan to know we're thinking of him and I can't wait to see a report to hear how he's going.
GO WELL, DAN!!!
-
:cuddle; Good post Richard. I was thinking about him yesterday and sure pray everything went according to plan. I can't wait to see him post his story, I bet it will be a dilly. Thinking of you Dan. :grouphug;
-
This is a really good thread. I thought about him this morning wondering if he was doing okay... He is in my prayers and I hope that we hear from him soon. :grouphug;
-
:bestwishes; Dan!
He should be home on Friday, but he said he wasn't sure if he would be on IHD that soon.I spoke with him Sunday on the phone.

I have been thinking of Dan, too. Thanks for getting this going!
Dan, we want to hear all about your adventures and hope everything went just as smooth as silk.
I have had you on my mind for the past few days, too.
My sister in law had everything done at the same time like you. She did great, and that is what I'm wishing for you.
:bandance; :bandance;

I hope he's doing OK. I went through all that at the same time too, it was overwhelming. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Stay strong, Dan!!

Dan,
Get better, get back here....Richard needs help with the wimmens! :)
-
Surrounding you with lots of love, healing wishes and support :grouphug; :grouphug; We are all thinking about you this week. :cuddle;

Hope everything goes well for you Dan.
-
Hoping all goes well too DC :thumbup;
-
Wishing you luck Dan! You'll be fine though. I had my cath placed and graft done at the same time and started dialysis within 3 days just 2 months ago and everything was fine. No pain. I was already on the computer several hours after surgery! And dialysis on a catheter is painless! You'll do fine!
-
Sending good thoughts your way! :grouphug;
-
Hope all goes well

I am running amuck! Running amuck here I say! I am too much for Richard to handle so DW, you better get back quick before I run ah-naked through IHD!

DW, post typos or not! You are worth more than a few typos!!! :waving;

We could have a show:
MiBarra doing a strip tease and Kitkatz doing the naked chicken dance around the room.

You get to sing Achy Breaky Heart. :rofl;

OK guys, I am back. I won't post much tonight except to say thanks so much for all these good wishes. I do a treatment tomorrow from 2 till 8 (well 2 to 4 will be registration and an orientation). After I get that behind me I'll get back on line and try to give Richard a little competition. But first I am brushing up on my spelling and typing. I'll do good. I feel a little guilty about all those high school dropouts to whom I used to teach remedial English. I hope I hope I didn't screw them up so badly that they never got employment. (It's all a joke. It's fine. I just wanted to say thanks for all these good wishes.
By the way, I'll need a new list of pOOsitives. Dialysis sucks. (not really, all is well or will be soon).
Thanks again,
Dan

Glad you are home! And yes, dialysis sucks, especially the first couple of weeks! Hang in there - it does eventually get easier to deal with.

I was very gratified to see you post. Even though it was just a whistle stop - at least, you're whistling!
Looking forward to hear of your experience. :cuddle;
