I am sorry it didn't work out wally.   :cuddle;

I don't understand all the false alarms. Why don't they check the organs BEFORE they call the patients??

I think I would start to get a little testy if I was called so often with no outcome. Or I would drop dead from the stress. on/off/on/off    :stressed; :stressed;

Be casue they want to make sure we are ready when the organs come out.  The reason it went on so long this time was that the donor was is Boise, Idaho, and they ha to wait to do the surgery because the airspace around Boise was closed because Joe Biden was visiting.

Wally
Since you are waiting for a pancreas and kidneys will they not give you just one or the other?
Is it both or neither?

That's ideal.  A kidney without a pancreas is at risk from super high blood glucose from the prednisone et al after transplant.  Just  apancreas would require dialysis, which would dialyse away the antirejection drugs.  A kidney panc pair would recognize each other, and create less immune response.

Wallyz sorry it didn't happen. Your day will come when you least expect it.I too waited for a skp and for me that was my gold medal. It is going to happen and when it does you will be glad you waited for both. For 27 years I had to take insulin shots now I don't know what to do with myself. I forgot what it was like to be normal.

You would think an exception for medical reasons would be made for air space.
I hope you don't have to keep going through this.
