my b.p sitting up has been very high 180 over 110. but when im lying down it goes to 160 over 80.

im not overloaded so whats happening. im typing this while waiting to be taken to dialysis.

is it potassium or phosphate overloaded or something else.??

Gee hard to say. You may be a little dry actually.. so when you are weighed at D take note.. your dry weight may be too low. That BP is pretty high and is a little alarming I reckon. Hopefully the dialysis staff will take care of you... hope things settle down for you soon.

Could be Potassium, could be high Urea, or Acidic Ph(low bicarb).  What were you last labs, and what have you eaten since last dialysis?

Thanks for the responses.

after 4 hours of dialysis my bp is down to normal levels. and the dizzyness is gone.

I think i may have possible caught a bug or ate something that did not agree with me. will ask for blood results on wednesday to see my levels.

Glad you feel better today.  It is always a problem how to decide if feeling bad is due to kidney failure or the flu or cold.  Hope the labs give you some answers.

Did you eat too much fresh fruit?  I have gotten that before when I overindulged and scared the nurses and myself with the high potassium.  It can damage your heart.
