I just got an email from my sister-in-law (husband's sister) that she is a 3/6 antigen match!     :cheer:   I'm guessing she'll admit for the remainder of her testing pretty soon!  Wish her (me) luck!

Oct 41, 2007 - Got fistula placed.
Feb 13, 2008 - Activated on "the list".
Nov 5, 2008 - Received living donor transplant from my sister-in-law, Etta.
Nov 5, 2011 - THREE YEARS POST TRANSPLANT!  :D

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

Kelly, yeah!!  You certainly have been on an up and down ride the past few months.   I am praying this turns out to be a big green light and you get that new kidney soon.    :cheer:  We are all your cheerleaders  :cheer:   We want you to get that kidney quicky :2thumbsup;

Of course I wish you luck...I would anyway but all the more since we're in exactly the same situation.  My sister-in-law (my brother's wife) is coming up here hopefully in September to do her testing.

Pyelonephritis (began at 8 mos old)
Home haemo 1980-1985 (self-cannulated with 15 gauge sharps)
Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

Monrein, that is so cool!  Isn't it amazing?  I never in a million years would have thought this sis-in-law would have tested.  My brother's wife has offered, but she's been my sis-in-law for 26 years!  My husband's sister has only been my sis-in-law for 10 years.  It's great!  I'll never look at her the same way again  -  Transplant or not!

Lost vision due to retinopathy 12/2005, 30 Laser Surg 2006
ESRD diagnosed 12/2006
03/2007 Fantastic Eye Surgeon in ND got my sight back and implanted lenses in both eyes, great distance & low reading.
Gortex 4/07.  Started dialysis in ND 5/4/2007
Gortex clotted off Thanksgiving Week of 2007, was unclotted and promptly clotted off 1/2 hour later so Permacath Rt chest.
3/2008 move to NC to be close to children.
2 Step fistula, 05/08-elevated 06/08, using mid August.
Aug 5, 08, trained NxStage and Home on 9/3/2008.
Fistulagram 09/2008. In hospital 10/30/08, Bowel Obstruction.
Back to RAI-Latrobe In Center. No home hemo at this time.
