this morning my fistula is not buzzing on the parts that are goose eggs or bumps my fistula is buzzing on the lower part where the vein is narrow and it is growing downward is this reason for concern? I called the dialysis nurse and she said it will be double checked on Monday, I will be there at 5:30 am does the entire fistula have to buzz? darn it all: we are taking my son to watch A&M's spring training I do not know if I should go I want the inform from IHD not the nurse on charge today

Yes, any change in the thrill is can be a problem. It could indicate a narrowing or a partial clot. Keep a really close eye on it if they aren't going to be able to see you until Monday, and call them right away if it gets worse.

"Asbestos Gelos" (As-bes-tos yay-lohs) Greek. Literally, "fireproof laughter". A term used by Homer for invincible laughter in the face of death and mortality.

thank you all, very much appreciated, I do tend to worry all the time... Monday at dialysis I was told they would keep an eye on it my arm looks different from last week and is hardly buzzing it was my doctor's turn on call over the weekend and if you call him about something he does not think is an emergency, He has a cow! I love my doc but he is touchy. you gave me peace of mind and that is priceless, in the world of dialysis
Ang--- you are so young it that picture, you have been thru so much bolta-- thank you -- words of comfort jbeany - thank you -- you were so right and how did you pick your name----love of jelly beans

I've had that happen a few times. It's always been a clot that either dissolved or got pulled by the dialysis needle.
