I feel a lot better now thanks to the antibiotics (vancomycin, IV). I've very cautious now, and I've been constantly taking my temperature to make sure the fever doesn't come back. The specific type of infection I had was staph coagulase negative. It's not the worst type of staph infection (like MRSA), but it can still be nasty if it's in the blood (which mine was). Hopefully once I finish my daily doses of vancomycin, I'll be able to avoid anther one. Adam
