Wow Donnia, thats wonderful!  Now you can get the house cleaned, lay in some ice cream, and research the restaurants near the hospital.  You said you were staying three weeks and hospital food ain't gonna cut it all that time.  I'd look for a good deli!

Update:

Just a quick note to let you know that I have bad news.   Transplant has been cancelled.

My insurance does not cover Covenant in Lubbock. If my primary insurance doesn't cover it, then neither will Medicare (I was under the impression that Medicare WOULD cover it if my primary didn't). Now we will have to go through Baylor because I am already listed with them. My insurance person is going to stay on Baylor and so are Joyce and I so we can move the process along quickly. We are hoping that they will accept the tests that Covenant did, and do whatever other tests they need to do maybe it will be a little quicker.

Why would they have let you go through the nuisance of getting listed and tested at Covenant if they weren't covered?? What a pain!!  :banghead;

I'm so sorry this has happened, I know how disappointed you are (I had one postponed by two months due to health issues several years ago). Good thoughts are going your way, and  :boxing; to Baylor to get things moving quickly!

That's my thoughts too Katie.

How horrible for them to give you a date, shouldn't they check the insurance coverage first ?

They build you up so they can knock you down ? They shouldn't put you through that, and they wouldn't need to if they found out about the insurance first.  :banghead;
