Yep, that is sooo true, you know the saying, you never realize how much you need or care about someone until they are gone,  dont be surprised if he shows up at your front door :)

not if his parents have anything to do with it!!! there was a reason i wasnt welcome to move back home with him....

Hang in there baby. Try to do whatever you can to take care of yourself now - hopefully Wade will get his sh*t together but in the meantime you should have some fun for a change!

Again, everyone, thanks.

I'm going home to NY and my mom is ready to spoil me, and let me take care of myself. I'm actually quite looking forward to it.

Oh my gosh!  I can't believe I never saw this thread.

Kari - I hope all is going well for you and hope to hear an update soon.  As a fellow caregiver I know how hard it is.  I hope Wade has come to his senses and realizes what he has done.  As for his parents, ugh!  Shame on them!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that the new year brings you much love, luck and joy!

Take care!

I miss Sara, too. Wonder how she is doing with the holidays?  It has to be hard for her.  Hope she knows we still think of her often.

Wade and I.

« Reply #40 on: January 08, 2008, 11:40:29 AM »

Happy New Year, everyone!

I hope you're all doing great - with no hospital stays, and good dialysis for everyone. I'm hanging in there - things got pretty ugly recently, but now that i've let go of everything, i'm doing much better. I can only send Wade my best wishes and be thankful for the times that were good, while refusing to let myself get broken by the circumstances.

I move into Brooklyn February 1, coincidentally into the same bedroom and apartment I lived in 4 years ago! Same roomate, too, who is a great friend, so I am really getting excited! It will be nice to just have to worry about and take care of ME! It's been far too long!

I hope everyone had a great holiday - you are all always in my thoughts!

xoxo kari

Glad to hear from you Pooh!!!

I'm sorry things got ugly for you. I guess it wasn't to be, unfortunately.

I'm glad you have a new apartment, well, not really new, but it's a fresh start!
