Yesterday I had my schnauzer Ilsa groomed and she looked so good I took her to the home training unit of my dialysis center. It was not an exceptionally good day for the staff but when they came out to look at her they had big smiles on their faces. When I do home hemo, Ilsa goes to another room while I do my hookup and then comes back and lies on the floor while I do my treatment. Unlike testy in-center neighbors she never complains about my stories, my singing, my selection of TV programs or my occasional snoring.Life is good...
I woke up this morning, looked in the newspaper's obits, and DID NOT find my name there. That made today a GREAT day...
Went on a group motorcycle ride today, we had 42 bikes!!! Was really cool and I have been on a high all day. Nice to meet some new people and hang out. Also going up to the race track (VIR) on Tuesday with two friends for a track day. Got the bike ready and I can hardly wait. 90 mph corners and 160 mph on the front straight here I come. Ahhh, LIFE.
Wow George, i admire your quest for life, here you are fighting to save your life but yet living on the edge doing 90 mph corners and 160 mph on the front straight. YOU GO BOY
My dialysis center just got WIFI hooked up. I now surf the web while on treatment. To me, this is a HUGE morale booster.
My dog learnt how to roll over for the first time in 13 years...
