I am not sure what is going on.... I just don't feel "right".  It started yesterday with a headache.   (That freakin Cowboys game probably did not help matters!!!!!)  I took a nap, but it didn't help, I still had the headache when I woke up.  Well, this morning I wake up with a dull headache, my ears feel kinda "full" and my chest hurts.  Not like a pain  from my heart... a pain in my lungs.  My back and neck hurts too.  Have any of yall experienced this before?  My ankles are not swolen in the least, so I dont think I am retaining too much.

Have you called your nurse or doctor?  Let us know what you find out. That sounds scary to me!

I called my nurse.  She is going to contact my doctor.  I go to dialysis at 1:30.   She is going to check me out really good and the doctor will be there today for me to talk to.

That Cowboy performance couldn't have helped...maybe you've developed some "feelings" for Tom Brady and his cleft chin and scruffy beard and that's conflicting with your devotion to the Cowboys.   ::)

Glad you're seeing a doctor later...be well!!

Well, when I got to dialysis they listened to my lungs and they were clear.  They do think I am getting a cold, so my doctor ordered som antibiotics to be given during my dialysis.  He also ordered a ZPAC.  I also got my flu shot today... hopefully that will make things better quickly.  Thanks for everyones support!!!

Well, I think they were right!  I woke up this morning all stopped up and I have a little cough.  I just feel awful tho.  My back, chest and head hurts so bad.  Hopefully with all the meds I took and am still taking, it will nip it in the bud tho.  I just REALLY wish I could get rid of this headache!

MyssAnne.... I will be pulling for the Colts! :2thumbsup;

As for you Patriot fans.... I hope we meet again  :yahoo;

The symptoms you first mentioned sound just like mine when I've gotten the flu. So do your new ones. Unfortunately, the flu shot isn't going to help really. It takes from two to three weeks to become effective. Sorry! I hope you feel better soon tho!   :cuddle;

Update:  I called my surgeon.  He sent me to do x-rays.  The thing is.... I just feel WEIRD!  It was so hard to sleep last night.  When I look down, it feels like something is kinda  stuck in my throat.  If I put my head back, it is easier to breathe.  It just feels like something is stuck in my chest.... up to my throat.  I hope it isn't a complication due to my permcath.  That dang thing has given me nothing but trouble!  Anyone have anything like this happen?

My husband's actually been seeing a doctor lately about that feeling of something stuck in the throat! He's not on dialysis tho. It turns out, he really does have stuff in his throat. He has a "pocket" in his throat, brought on by acid reflux, and things really do get caught in his throat. Ask about having a Videofluoroscopy Barium Swallowing test. You swallow different foods and liquids with barium (you don't even taste it) while they take pictures of your throat via an MRI type machine. They won't see the pocket in regular x-rays.

Well, right now, he's supposed to stay away from everything that can cause acid reflux, which includes:

smoking (he doesn't do that anyway)
caffeine
carbonated drinks
peppermint
alcohol
fatty foods
citrus foods (including juice)
tomato foods

Plus, he's supposed to go to a voice therapist, because it's affected his singing. He won't be doing that since he's out of time off for the rest of the year. Maybe next year. They also sent a camera down his throat and he brought home pictures.  The pocket is so big, I don't see this clearing up for a while, but I'll try to remember to keep you posted glitter!

Sounds like dengue to me.   There is a bit of that going around in the Caribbean.  I hope it doesn't come to me - had it twice in my lifetime. That is enough.
Hope you are feeling better now.  Let us know how you are doing.

Thanks everone for your concern.  Well,  I guess the steroids are working.  I woke up feeling better.  I can breathe better this morning.  I still feel the "stiffness" in my chest, but it is lower down so it doesn't feel like it is almost in my throat anymore.  We will see how this progresses.
