Here are a few t-shirts I am going to make and wear to my unit:

Dialysis: A Near-Life Experience

Hey!  Wasn't I Just Here Two Days Ago?!

Come On Down!  You're The Next Contestant On 'Those Needles Are Sharp!'

DialySister

Dialysis Is A Big Pain In The A _ _.  (The Correct Answer Is 'Arm'-- But I Like The Way You Think!)

And here is a t-shirt I made about 13 years ago... it needs re-doing because the letters are cracking.  It's a black t-shirt with silver letters that reads:

Still Kicking Death's Ass

Dialysis: A Near-Life Experience <- that one is really cool, I had seen it in your signature line and I thought it was very clever. Did you think of that one? or did you see it somewhere?

Actually I thought of that one myself-- I have had several near-death experiences, so I thought the 'near-life experience' tagline would be a good pun.   ;D

love the ideas for your t-shirts. :)Would you mind if I put them on a t-shirt and wore it. May get my mind off what needs to be done while I am there. I'll try to think of some others. Liz 8)

Life on Hold.... You actually looked it up. :)  I was really looking for the passage about burning in the lake of fire and wanting to die but can't!  But, I ran across that one and thought it was pretty good, but I thought the same thing... "10 days my ass."

At least we can torture normal people on road trips!  Rest Stop Ahead......  NO... I don't have to go and I'm driving.   >:D

Yeah that's one plus of not having kidneys, I never need to stop to use the bathroom while others do. But then I have to wait for them. I guess I can't win.

I loved the line Dialysis: Still kicking death's ass.  Those are great.
How about on T-shirt that reads:
Be Nice to Me or I will stick you back!

Dialysis sucks AND blows

Dialysis. No we won't be your sister.

On dialysis your goals will change every 3 days. 3600. 4000. 3100...

UF Goal = 5500. Yeah it was a good weekend!

If found please return to __________ Dialysis Clinic

The only reason I go to Dialysis is for the free coffee.

 :bump; :bump; :bump; :bump; :bump;

You guessed it ..  I am BUMPing this thread ;)

Why? Because I made a shirt and guess what? NOW ALL THE NURSES in my unit want me to make shirts and they want to buy them!!

The only thing is as I told them, these are NOT my quotes.

So I wanted to ask, do we have permission to use these in our units? (I could really use the money if they throw me a dollar or so ;) especially since I just had a union meeting last night and my store might go on strike!! :()

So far I have only made bookmarks using slogans already allowed to be used .. such as:
  • "Don't take your organs to Heaven - Heaven knows we need them here!"
  • "Sign your organ donor card!"
  • "Donate the Gift of Life!"
  • "Recycle Yourself! Be an Organ and Tissue Donor!"
  • "Transplant Kidneys! Don't Bury Them!"

But they like the slogan I have on my shirt which is my favourite but is Lifeonhold's which is:
  • Dialysis Is A Big Pain In The A _ _.  (The Correct Answer Is 'Arm'-- But I Like The Way You Think!)

They ALL LOVE that one!! (So do I!)  :2thumbsup; But since I don't  have permission I have only  made one  for myself..

Hey Kitkatz have you seen the IHD store (currently premium members only) where I make Professional quality t-shirts by request?  ??? I also make tote-bags, mugs, shirts, sweaters, bumper stickers, etc. Did you read where I do custom work within 48 hours with your design on any number of items  ???

I even have the "Dialysis Is A Big Pain In The A _ _.  (The Correct Answer Is 'Arm'-- But I Like The Way You Think!)" FOR SALE there and I did have LifeOnHolds permission.

There is a special paper you can buy at any office supply store or Best Buy type store that is an iron on.  You print up what you want on your computer, and then iron it on to your shirt of choice.  They make them for both white and black shirts.  Mind you these are not of the highest quality when you are done the picture looks good, but the iron on is a bit stiff and starts to fray after having been washed a few dozen times.  I still have one I made to sell at shows for a band I was in.  It's gotten pretty ragged, but I have had it for like 12 years.
