Here is our first official flyer. Place these at your center or give them to your fellow patients. If your center has a bulletin board put one there and see how long it lasts. Just put it up anonymously if you're worried that the center will not allow it. Help us become a bigger community and by doing so we can all help each other and any other future members. Let me know what you think about it, and definitely post here if you posted it at your center and let us know the reaction you got. There are patients who have no idea this site even exists so lets spread the word, and help them also have a place to rant/vent AND be INFORMED!

Directions:

Right click and save the picture to your computer then open up your program of choice and attach it, then print it. If you have any questions just ask. The size is a FULL sheet 8"x11" Sorry about the size being so big on your screen but I didn't size it so it will stay high resolution when you print it on a FULL sheet of paper. See the "other" picture below for further directions. Don't worry about color or B/W what ever you want to print is fine. I just made it color for those who wanted color flyer's. Color WILL stand out more and spark more interest, but don't worry our sites name sparks interest all on its own.

One more thing if your center does not allow the flyer's in the waiting room or on the bulletin board, remember they can't stop you from handing them to the patients yourself.

**UPDATE*** Now you have a choice of two flyers -- thanks to our Mod jbeany for creating a new one!

Just GREAT, Epoman!!  I have already printed it out.  There is no bulletin board at our centre, but I printed 4 to a page to give to patients.

VERY COOL! let us know how long it stays up. Do not let anyone know it is you who is placing it, that way you can put up another one when it gets taken down. >:D

Put the flyer up on Saturday, on Tuesday it had been taken down >:( So tomorrow, Thursday.Printed 20 out so will hand them around. If not on notice board, nothing can be done about being given out. Will put another one on the notice board as well. It my have been a patient who took it down. So could use the information to get on the board.

Getting the heck out of town.

« Reply #18 on: March 15, 2009, 05:30:45 PM »

Do DaVita centers sanction (approve of) this site?  When I went to visit and when I took their classes they help telling me how wonderful and easy it will be.. and yet I read on here how hard and scary it is.  Were they giving me hype?  Is is somewhere in the middle?  Anyway, I'll ask the doctors next time I go in.  I'm sure they know about you but I will take your flyer just in case...

Unless the doc has been on dialysis, he really doesn't know how it feels. Sems to be the norm to paint a rosey picture, but you just have to ask, how many of those people have been on dialysis going through what most of us have gone through.

Since my dialysis unit has ceased being reasonable and become "stick-up-the-behind" strict about every little thing, I'm going to print this up and hand it out to patients.

Even more, since I have permission to use their copier (got it in writing!), I'm going to use their own printer to do it!!
