Hello All,
I ran across this post in a in a search for info on high (very high) creating levels and just had to join so I could post in the hope that someone can give some prospective on our situation.
My son has been diagnosed with kidney failure with the cause being that he had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck while still in the womb and was still born, resulting in his left kidney not being fully developed. After kicking that (dodged death), he has had (and continues to have) a very normal existence until the last year when his blood tests show high creatnine and BUM levels.
In the last month, his creatnine has gone from 11 to 25 (yes 25) and his BUM from 100 to 172. Yet he is looking, acting and (by his own account) feeling fine, totally free of ANY symptoms.
Needless to say the doctors are having a cow and want him on dialysis ASAP.
Has anybody heard of such a case? Does this make any sense?
How high can you go and not have symptoms?
Any and all response greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Glen
