This is how I feel on Friday nites during dialysis

« on: July 01, 2007, 05:02:08 PM »

This is my 2nd time I am sending this message, I have no idea what happened to my last message, I did spell check and then I hit "preview" and my message went blank.  Soooooo, let me try this AGAIN.  I am still getting frustrated about how to find the replies to my messages.  I would not think it would have something to do with me using another computer that I did not register on because when I am get to this site (from another computer) it says "TynyOne" is online and also it says I have "new messages, would I like to open them in a new window" and when I click yes, I cannot find them, it goes to the "home" section of this site to all the different topics that are listed.  I know this may sound redundant as I think I have posted something similar to this same message but silly a** me forgot!!!!    :oops;  I thank each and everyone of you for your patience in helping me understand this.  PLEASE!  PLEASE!  HELP!!

Hi Tammy,  I am sorry your having such trouble but feel free to pm any member of the admin team or whoever else you see online and maybe they can help you further (perhaps meet in the chat room so you can have a one on one instead of the constant pm's)  We are here to help you whenever and however we can.    And from what i understand you are having trouble finding the replies to your messages?  are you talking about your posts or your pms?   If someone replies to your posts you can find their replies under your original post and if its your pm's, there is a link by  your name up at the top that you can click on and if you scroll down a bit you should be able to see any new messages you have received.  Please let me know if this helped you in any way, you have me curious as to what exactly your needing and i would love to help you resolve this matter A.S.A.P.  Hope to hear from you soon.

Tammy,

The problem you have isn't with the site - the new messages window opens in a pop-up window, and if the website tries to take you to them, your software stops the pop-up.  Mine does that all the time.  If you want to get to your private messages, just scroll up to the top of the page.  Right next to your avatar pic, under "User info" it should say "Hey, Tynyone, you have x messages, x are new."  Click on the underlined part, it will take you to the messages.  You can change your browser software to accept pop-ups, but it's not really worth it - all the pop-up ads are irritating.

First of all, thanks to each and everyone of you for your quick replies to me, YEAH!   I found them and I did go to my Avitar which I did last nite and maybe it just had a hiccup, I don't know but anyway, thanks for the quick replies.  Also, Goofynina, in answer to your question about is it the my new messages or the PM's, it is about my new messages.  I have only done PM's one time.  I was told the only time you can do PMs is when you are in the chatroom, you can do PMs there.   Correct me if I am wrong, please because I would love to do PMs.

Anyways, on to another topic, I had sent you, Goofynina, a message about your response about urinating.  I forgot, did you say you are still urinating?  I believe you said you weren't and that was what you missed the most.   Therefore, I was asking, did you just all of a sudden stop urinating or did it happen slowly.  I am worried to death about that eventually happening to me and I just want to know what signs to look for should I stop urinating too.   Thanks in advance to your help.  Have a happy little day!

You can do PM's anytime you are on IHD. If you are in the chat room the PM system is different as you can type messages in real time and only the person you are typing too, can read what you are typing. In regular chat what you type can be seen by everyone in the chat room. Sorry if this sounds confusing as you misunderstood what I told you last week in chat.

If this is confusing then maybe goofynina can explain it better.

Hope I helped.

Hmmm, i never got a pm but i will answer your question here so you wont have any trouble getting it ;)   I stopped urinating about a year after starting dialysis.  To be honest, i didnt even realize it was happening until they asked me something like:  when was the last time i urinated or how often do i go, then i had to sit and think and BAM i realized i didnt pee anymore,  :o  *scratches head* how did that happen lol  :urcrazy;   But everyone is different, there are some who have been on dialysis for years and is still able to urinate, i on the other hand went to the extreme end (near death) without any dr. visits or anything (stupid me) i think had i taken a little better care of myself, things would be different for me   :oops;  (if i knew then what i know now) :P  :banghead;  I hope i have answered your question without confusing you more, i am good at doing that (confusing people)  ::)  Have a good one too my friend  :cuddle;

GoofyNina,

First of all, thanks once again for being so patient with me and answering my questions.  Second of all, I never tried to PM you, I was just asking for clarification if one can send PMs without even being in a chatroom but I believe Sluff has cleared that up for me *wink*  Thank You as well, Sluff.  However, GoofyNina, You said above that you went to extreme and near death, what exactly did you mean by that, what happened?  I guess I am still wanting to know more about this "not being able to urinate thing" because I am so worried that is going to happen to me.  I never thought in a million years I would be literally praying to PEE!   LOL  But I am praying for that, no lie!    LOL  Well, I hope each and everyone of you have a good 4th of July!

Tyny Tammy

Well, i was told in January of 2003 that my kidneys were failing and i should go see a nephrologist right away, you dont know what it took for me to go see my gp, you see, i hate docs, they never never never gave me anything good and well, they always made me feel sicker than i was so i just didnt go.  Well, i went to go see the neph and took it upon myself to never go back, thinking i was going to get better,  :urcrazy;   Well, never did, and i was slowly dieing, my body was shutting down and my mom threatened me to take me to the hospital, so i promised her i would go to see my doc, i did, he said this was it, the end, (this is in Sept of '03) if i didnt go to the hospital right then and there it was going to be a matter of possibly days, the toxins in my body were so bad, i was swollen, yellow and i had the clammy feeling, threw up anything and everything that went into my mouth,  so that is why i said near death, cuz my doc said so,  i went to the hospital and they admitted me and there i stood for 30 days, got out and then had to return again for another couple of weeks, now that i look back it scares me to know how close i was and how STUPID i was.  My mom gave me life and then saved my life,  Thank you Mama  :bow;
