Not sure how helpful this will be.   :lol;  What food makes you feel good inside?  Mine's my mom's chicken and dumplings, with big ol' fat dumplings.  *drool*

Dark, rich chocolate. Hot fudge over anything sweet.  Thick whip cream!

Fried Chicken
Mashed Potatoes with white Gravy
Corn On The Cob
Yeast Rolls
 Strawberry Pie

This was my Dad's favorite meal when I was growing up and now mine.

I also love a bowl of Cheesy Grit's with butter and a little ham in it, every once in a while when I need some comfort food.

Real French Onion Soup with crouton and cheese,
14 Ounce Boneless Ribeye or Prime Rib (Medium)
Straight Horseradish, real bernaise sauce,

Asperagus

2 dozen small select cherry stone clams
1 cup of real good NE clam chowder
Fried Fresh Seafood Platter with Cod, Jumbo Shrimp, Scallops, and Oysters.

I can dream...........

Yep, I do eat it and enjoy every bite ,lol ! Just some of it not so often .I think some people are so restrictive with their diets, that they miss out on a lot when they don't have to, while I guess other's aren't so restrictive, but that is just my opinion. There is a lot of good food out there, and many really good recipes.I love to cook  and try out new recipes when I feel good .I have been looking for some tasty veggie recipes which can get bland sometimes, and some good chicken recipes for protein as I am not that much of a beef or other eater.

it's interesting, if you think of it, what we think of as 'comfort foods' are really foods that we ate (mostly) as children, when we felt safe and protected. ironic, when you consider how the fact of aging changes the body's nutritional needs so much, that those 'comfort foods' become poisonous to us.

i miss bacon, kraft dinner with sliced weiners. :(

when i was a musician, for a number of years, kraft dinner was a staple. it was 17 cents a box, then.(!)
we used to steal pocketfuls of ketchup squeezies from McDonald's and A&W's and make ketchup (musician) soup, later.
also, 'musician steak' was a favourite, (fried balongna)-

rhubarb grew wild all over the city parking lots. a little sugar and water, boiled for a half-hour, what a dessert!

bon apetite!

Cheese soup or potato soup.  I try to limit that to about once a month now, but when it's my dad's recipe, I usually can't resist. . .

I agree!  There is nothing like a Thanksgiving Dinner.   :2thumbsup;  Thanksgiving is a favorite holiday of mine because there is no gift giving, just getting together with family and close friends.

There is a restaurant in the Canada part of Epcot in Disneyworld that serves that, with soft breadsticks for dipping.  It's so good.  Kind of like fondue.

Meatloaf sandwich - my grandma made really good meatloaf, but it was best the next day, with a little cheddar cheese and mustard, on soft bread - mmm yum.
