Hi all.
I have to start doing the iron injections for my husband during dialysis. I have been shown two ways but rather briefly. One is pre-rinseback inject into venous line on his CVC over 10 minutes. The other is in the last 5 minutes of dialysis into the dialyzer. Is there any trick to this? I have watched it and how you inject it as it pulsates. But I also know there is risk of air if not done properly when initially setting up. Anyone do it this way? Like do I turn off the pump when connecting or keep it running and then just do the pulsating? Thanks for any tips.
