Update: It has been two days now and I've done pretty well since the shot. A little tiredness for a couple of days, and twice it hit me in kind of a wave, with some lightheadedness and fatigue, but it cleared up after I rested. No arm soreness or chills or fever. We'll see how the second shot goes, but so far no big deal.

I'm not sure when I'll be getting one. The rollout here appears to be a lot slower than in the US. Here on PEI, they say that everyone who wants a vaccine will at least have their first dose by July 1st, and people with underlying health conditions and their caregivers will be in the next phase. Right now, they are vaccinating people over the age of 80, health care workers, and those who live and work in tong term care homes.

I'm still following one thread here, about the efficacy of the vaccine to diabetic patients.

Just heard to interesting items about efficacy today:
1. Moderna protects for at least 6 mos.
2. Doctors aren't sure about the efficacy of vaccines for solid organ transplant patients. The jury is still out on research, so continue to follow recommended safeguards (masks, social distancing, handwashing, etc) for now.

Yes, that's what's best, to continue the precautions even after having the vaccine

I got my first dose on May 12. I got the Pfizer. I didn't have any side effects, except for the sore arm. Now starts the waiting game for an appointment for the second dose.
