Mine lasted a long time. Worst pain became less after about a week.

Good luck, Cas

I have a graft in my right forearm. I don't remember any pain apart from the discomfort of the nerve block thy used to put it in. I started to use it about a month after it was put in, if I remember correctly.

Okay, from some previous posts I understand it is a fistula?

A graft is different from a fistula as it's artificial. Still a connection between artery and vein, but 'other' material is used.

I had a fistula attempted that did not take. It was the same as the graft. The nerve block was the worst part. At least I knew what to expect for the second attempt when they did a graft. I never even took a Tylenol for ither procedure.

I read the operation request and it was for an A/V graft, nurses are referring to it as a fistula so whatebver it is i got it , :)
