I May Hate Dialysis, but I Really Like My Clinic!

Today my manager announced that she is training our head nurse to take over her job and she’ll go to another clinic. This made me think of how great everyone is there. It’s relaxed, and great communication and friendliness between staff and patients and between patients.. They give out presents or snacks for holidays, and everyone’s very good at their jobs with the machines and needles and stuff. My first and middle names are Monica Jade, and that’s what the head nurse who just got promoted always calls me because she liked Jade so much. I do too. Everyone there is quiet and courtious, and most of the time the loudest thing in there are the machines. I’m so happy and thankful for all of them. They make dialysis so mucch better than it could have been.

It's a tough job with long hours and it can be physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting, so I have a lot of respect for the people working there.

Oh yeah, I respect them too because of all they have to do. Looking at blood is scary to me, and I can’t look for more than a second, so they are awesome just for being able to do that part. I am calm because they told me I don’t have to look, so I never look left if I can help it.

I forgot to mention that I like the manager who is leaving just as much as everyone else and I’ll miss her. And my current tech and I are the same age (so is a tech on the other side) and my current tech and I are from the same hometown. There is also another patient my age on the other side. It is a Ferensius clinic btw.
