Hey there this is my first query here been on HD for 3yrs now 4.5 hrs 3 times a week. All nurses in clinic r great to get along with....bar 1....been like that for 3 yrs now won't smile, talk, very unsociable... couldn't care less where she lives her car or wat she does on her days of never smiles when she comes to needle me but goes to patient next door and she's party girl can't stop giggling talking her friendliness comes out but come to me and it's sour face all over again Tried apologising over the past 12/24 mths but don't know what I've done. All appologies have fallen on deaf ears at first thought she was great person like the rest are it's taken me best part of 3yrs to realize. It's got to stage now i don't wanna talk to her at all...greeting, goodbye, or even a thank u it blew up between us one nite n havent seen her for bout 6/8wks i never spoke to her hello goodevening nothin till she walked past my chair and quietly wished me happy new year I politely replied thank u but nothing else was said between us for 4.5 hrs won't go to m/ment because don't wanna start a bitch fight I'm 64 don't need this sort of behaviour at my age and at my CKD stage Have spoken to several of her workmates without mentioning her name. None of em believe me tho 2 of em picked her out but 1 has left n the ohter understands wat im going thrh
Wat do i do ignore her or try to patch things up ....not knowing what ive done

I don't think there is any thing you can do. While I don't know why she feels the way she does if I was you I would write it off as she is one of the people who hate you on site. You may not know why but the answer could be you remind her of a former boyfriend or husband and her reaction is based on her feelings for the previous person. Years ago I had someone working for me that clearly hated me, I was upset and wondered why, I eventually met het ex husband, he could have been my twin, her reaction was based on her feelings for him. Just be polite and live with it.

I was going to say much the same thing.
I have been approached many times by people thinking that I was someone that they have know. Nope, not me. But you look EXACTLY like him! Sorry.
Most likely she is simply afraid. Don't bite her.

Be polite and nice to this nurse. Say hi and chit chat, but do not force the issue. They may come around.

People are always bringing in treats for the nurses in my unit. The old head nurse (she's now the transplant rn/coordinator) used to say that there can't be anything worse than a skinny nurse, cuz of all the food people were bringing them

As a patient, you have a right to refuse her service because her attitude toward you. We can not trust the quality of her service at all. You can report to her supervisor. You will not see her again. I'm sure other nurses or patients will have the same problems with her.
Take care.

I myself have a pretty sick twisted sense of humor. Some of my jokes take a while before anyone catches on.
Then again, I often swear I am surrounded by morons. Or maybe they are all just slow.

I am almost in the middle of Missouri in the U.S.A.
I have been on Hemo not even a month yet from a little bug that that tried to kill me. My First PD infection after slightly more than 3 1/2 years.
I am still a Noob compared to many of the members here.

I do PD. When I did HD I found it enormously depressing to be with other peeps tied to machines and locked in chairs looking like they had given up on life. I never found that even slightly good for socializing and couldn't wait to get the hell out of there. I dread the day that PD stops working and I have to choose between one form of death (in center HD) or the real one. I know not everyone feels this way about HD, but I sure did. Long live PD (and my peritoneum!).
