I have Chronic MGN and FSGS.  My heart was pounding and palpitating on Monday so I went to the ER.  They ran blood tests.  Now going back to January 2015 my CR was 0.89, BUN 15, ALB 3.5, GFR 82.9.  So back to Monday... my CR 1.15, BUN 18, ALB 3.6, K 3.4, Carbon Dioxide 29, and protein in urine 2+, GFR 62.8

I have feeling of tightening or pressure in both flanks with some pain.

I was diagnosed via Biopsy in 1/2008.

I just moved to the Oregon area so I have an appointment with a new neprologist on 8/26/2015 and new primary care physcian 08/24/2015.

Any words of wisdom?

Don't panic yet! It's been very hot here (I'm in Oregon, too), and renal tests can vary quite a bit based on hydration levels. Have you been spending much time outside or in a home / other places that don't have AC without compensating with extra fluids? That might explain the differences. Was your blood pressure OK? Mine drops in hot temperatures and causes similar symptoms, especially if I don't drink enough.

Hang in there!

No I spend most of the day indoors in air conditioning M-F.  But I don't have AC at home.  So I have been miserable.  I went to the ER because my heart was pounding and palpitating.  My blood pressure was 177/110 but by the time I left it was 131/89.

I'm in Oregon, too!
The heat really messes with my blood pressure, too, and the hot days typically cause it to drop significantly.
I'm in the Portland area. There's a good kidney support group here, but it meets infrequently.
I'd love to meet other folks in town walking this path.

Welcome to Oregon! I hope you are thrilled with your new care team here!
