My new fistula is a month old and I haven't been stuck yet. I asked one of the tech's to show me what they will eventually use and I tell you what, I am not looking forward to it. I can't take your survey yet but if I had to guess...Ouch  Boxman55

Think of this; I am the only one that is vocal about the needles. The cream that you can get with a script help awhile lot. I never feel the stick. I think i could probably not use the cream some day. My problem sits inside. They always hit a nerve and it sometimes sits for the whole treatment. For the first couple of sticks they hurt but only for a while. I think of something else when they stick me. I always watch other patients when they get stuck. The elderly ones just stare into space. I guess they don't feel anything.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.
