The republican majority shows that they do not care for the disadvantaged.  Instead of stealing candy from a baby they take money from the disabled.  Next they will be pushing wheelchair bound people down ramps for fun.  Obama can't veto this cause it's a house rule.  If nothing's done people on disability will loose one out of every five dollars they currently receive.  Reagan was wrong, the evil empire is the Republican Party.  While I am effected by this I have a corporate disability coverage that will replace the money  republicans took from my upcoming disability.  I just hate the impact this will have on other disabled.  I paid heavy social security taxes for over 40 years so this is not charity but some thing I paid into and coverage I expected is suddenly pulled by the republican majority.
Next candy from babies.

Hopefully these draconian benefit cuts to the disabled will not happen. I think they are likely using this strategy to negotiate some sort of Social Security reform. We know a tax increase is very unlikely. So maybe they want the President and the Democrats to revisit the Chained CPI adjustment that was under consideration and then got shelved when the Grand Bargain never came to be. At least there are two years before this would likely take effect as current funding is supposed to be adequate until the latter part of 2016. It amazes me though that they would slip this rule in on the first day. In the past adjustments were made both way between retirement and disability funds. Looks like times are changing.
