Got a new ps4 for Christmas.

After playing about 30 minutes my fistula starts hurting. I tried holding the controller different ways but it didn't help.

My fistula is on my right upper arm.

Should I just give up and sell the ps4?

Sounds like the effects of steal syndrome on your fistula, giving almost RSI type symptoms.

I would say consider looking for another third party controller perhaps (I'm very very rusty on games consoles), but I know the issues

Remember to do some hand/finger exercises to keep your circulation going, and loosen up any tension.

I swear by tiger balm for aches in my wrists (never use it directly on the fistula tho).

I've got a mature fistula in the same place, more or less.

Maybe it's like exercising and you have to build up your strength? Play 20 minutes a day and then slowly extend your time.

Patient: Doc, it hurts when I do this.

Doc: Don't do that

Seriously - talk to your neph and vascuar surgeon.  They may have some helpful ideas.
