I have a special needs child myself, and I don't want to even imagine the worry I'd feel if he was in your son's situation.  I am so sorry that he is unwell, and I am hoping for a speedy recovery. :grouphug;

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.

So good to hear about the improvements, his weight loss might very well be caused by....being pretty ill in hospital for a bit?  ::)

Wishing you, and your family lots of strength, and love
