Hello!

Found this site maybe too late but better late than never.  Im 26yo male with alports, and happy transplant owner  :cheer:
Have to thank finnish health care as I only had to do 1 month acute HD and then 3 months PD which didnt work that well as I have physical full time job. Had problems with Potassium,Phosphorus,BUN(over 85.0 mg/dl daily), crea etc so didnt feel that good. But 7th Nov 2013 I got a call from a doctor to my workplace and I had to rush to the hospital where I got tested and I got cadaveric transplant.  Time to change to healthier life and live normal life. I Hope I dont have to do dialysis for a long time =)

Hi nits, and :welcomesign;!

Congratulations on the transplant!  May it give you many years of happiness!  As for finding the site too late ... it's never too late!  I'm sure you'll have a wealth of information to share (and maybe learn, too.)

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.
