40 minutes on the stationary bike last night.  Today it's about 40 minutes of weight resistant exercises.

I went to work today and was on my feet all day long. My feet were screaming by the time I left school and went to dialysis.  That does count??

All day on the allotment yesterday, about 6 hours of gardening! It was a beautiful day here too, nice and warm. Lots of digging and moving stuff, also a bit of woodwork. Exhausting but fun.  ;)

Blah - only 15 minutes today before I got too dizzy to keep going.  I took off more fluid than usual yesterday, trying to figure out if I've actually lost any weight.  I left .7 k under my supposed dry weight.  I made thru the dialysis without having any problems, but my blood pressure has been a little low since last night.  How is it that my blood pressure can be too low when my fingers and ankles are still water logged?   *sighhhhhhhh*

Double-dutch today! 40 minutes on the stationary bike and 20 minutes of weight resistant exercises.

35 minutes today - feeling better, so back on track!  I'm down just over half a kilogram in dry weight.  Not much, but it's a start.  Everyone keeps telling me I look like I've lost weight.  Not sure how that is possible - surely less than 2 pounds wouldn't make a visible difference.  Maybe, if I'm lucky, that means I'm replacing some of the fat with muscle, and that's what they are seeing.  Or maybe they are just being kind and lying to make me feel better!

You're right, since muscle weighs more than fat.  Great going JB!!

Later tonight I'll be doing 40 minutes on the stationary bike.

I notice nobody has said they're doing yoga. That's a great exercise - helps tone your muscles, burns calories, works up a sweat, stretches you limbs and back....very good. The "Y" in my town has classes for $6, and you can go whenever you want.

Also, for the ladies, what about the "Carmen Electra learn to strip" DVD? Exercise doesn't have to be boring!!!

Best way to increase your metabolism? Increase the number of meals you have - eat every 3 hours. Just make sure your portions are smaller and balanced. This combined with exercise is pretty much guaranteed weightloss!

I also work as a waitress and walk about 8-10 miles/shift. Plus I carry those heavy piggy-portion plates, so I get my resistant training in as well. Plus the dog, and the horse, and all the stairs in my house. Damn, I look good for 40!!!!
