I bought a nice pillow for use at Dialysis last yr. but for some reason my tail bone is hurting so much I can barely sit down!  I think even though I am over the opening, the back part must be pushing in on the rest of my tailbone causing a worse issue.  This morning I bought a neck pillow, because it is open in the back, but doesn't seem to work too well for sitting on.

Can anyone recommend a good pillow that real does work? I mean really alleviates the problem??????  Thanks for advise in advanced!

Thanks Kit. Did you have to cut it in two?  I looked on their site but didn't see any eggcrate mattress but did see a camping eggcrate. Are they the same?
Sitting straight up is fine but leaning back in those crappy chairs is wearing on me....LOL

Look for "wheelchair cushions".  I bought one with the "drive" brand from Wal-Mart online and it really helps with the 4 hour runs.

Thanks to both of you!  I see those with "drive" going from 82.00 - 30.00  First...I am going to cut out the back of mine and see if that makes a difference.  Then go from there.

I don't remember the model, but the DRIVE one I got from Walmart was under $40 and works great (at least for me).
