Me with Baron von Fresenius

Ok, so I finished my treatment today, removed my needles.....and sat for another THREE HOURS trying to stop bleeding! My graft is three and a half years old, and it looks like it's time for a new one. I'll be going to see the vascular surgeon next week.

I've been using my current AV graft for 7+ years.  During this time, I've experienced the same problem you're describing.  It doesn't necessarily mean you need a new graft, but have a stenosis/blockage in the upper area of the vein.  Hopefully, a balloon angio can open it up.  How does the graft look?  Do you rotate sites well to help keep pseudo-aneurysms from forming?

BTW - I was averaging an agio every 5-6 months until I went on extended hours dialysis and turned my pump speed down to 300.  Since then, I've only had to go in for the procedure twice in 2.5 years.

I have been having an angio every 2 to 3 months and there is usually little to no stenosis. There are already two large pseudo aneurysms and I avoid those. I'm on my second graft, and the first one lasted about three years as well.
