That's a good question.  I'm not sure which I would prefer.  I haven't been to a dentist in quite a while, so I'm more familiar with dialysis, so I think that's most likely what I would choose

As you noted, that's a tough choice. But as I do PD 7 days a week, the answer is always both.

A you only think that i have not been to the dentist in years , and since i went and got the work done . Now i get check up every 3 months you feel the needle for to numb you , after that nothing and you would be used to needles know what i mean , o to be rid of this dialysis stuff i know you would make the right choice

Well, my mother has said for years that she'd rather give birth (and she's had 6 kids) than go to the dentist! 

I actually just cancelled my dental appointment.  I've taken too much time off of work this month already; I need to show my face sometime!  The last time (December) I was at the dentist, the hygienist berated me because it had been a year and a half since I'd gotten my teeth cleaned.  I told her I was focusing on my kidney disease and had too many appointments already - she didn't think that was a good reason.

Frankly, I'd think that mobile dentistry might make it possible to do both at the same time. I mean, what better time to have your teeth checked than during a 3-4 hour stretch when you are already immobilized?

O i dont know about that while in dialysis i mean if you do a heavy breath the bloody machines alarm so dentist in dialysis not for me , hey the dentist said to me at night doing your teeth before bed after yo brush and rinse she said put a small amount of toothpaste on your gums at night it helps keep down the build up of  tartar and plaque through out the night just try it because it can not hurt it works for me anytime i go now they say the teeth are looking good.

I'd be gagging if I did that.  I don't like the taste of toothpaste.  I don't like mint (unless it's paired with chocolate. *L*), so I try to brush as quickly as I can to get rid of the mint taste in my mouth.  I use Sensodyne, which isn't as bad mint-wise.  This morning, I could smell Mom's toothpaste, and it was turning my stomach
