I was doing some research on home hemo, I was reading that you have to have a fistula to do hemo at home and to form the button holes. Is this t? I have a graft, can I use that? Does anyone know?

:2thumbsup;i have a fistula with buttonholes and do nxstage.  Im pretty sure you can also do it with a graft.  Here we had a lady do home hemo with a catheter.  Im nearly positive there is a lady on here that does her husbands dialysis with a graft.  Home hemo will make you feel muchbetter and less restrictions too.  I get to drink qiite a bit more and that is just divine.

I am more than a patient.  I am a mama, friend, wife, sister, and most of all a person.

41 years old, hemo since November 2011, trained for PD and tried numerous times.  PD did not work for me , it was a nightmare :(

no, you cannot have buttonholes with a graft.  You need to use laddering technique
