Clinic manager a total a**, how to deal?

The new manager guy at my clinic is a complete jerkoff. I really do not llike this dude at all... and heres some reasons why. (tell me what you think)

1. He thinks he knows everything, including MY body.
        I was pretty sure my bp had dropped, and said, hey, im not feeling too great, can we check bp? He said 'it just took it 10 mins ago, and your fine." Um ok, well, im not fine, i am scared, i feel like its my bp, can we double check please? so he does and says Its fine. Ooook well somethings not right...
Finally my tech comes over and i tell her, and ask what my bp is. its 115/73...... Yes that is 'normal' for most people, for me, that is almost to the point that i start vomiting. (no one can tell me why either, but when im 'normal' i feel low... but i had started treatment around 160/110) So she stops pulling for a while.
2. again he thinks he knows everything...
    Im almost positive that they accidently hit my nerve, when sticking me, which hurts like hell btw. I stay on, i am doing ok, but mid treatment, they have to move the needle, and thats excrusiating, i begin to cry. i try hard to wait this out, i have about an hr left of treatment. but i cant handle it, so i ask to come off. So he says i need to see the arm dr, i said i really dont think there is any reason to, im nearly positive its a nerve thing... but he WALKS AWAY. (thats just irritating!!) He makes an appointment, and doesnt tell me, im asleep so he just leaves a tiny peice of scrap paper for me to find (which i didnt) so i miss the appointment. and He bitches at me about it. Again I mention not to bother, its been a week and no other issues have happened, im sure it was a nerve being hit.. He throws up his hands and says "there isnt anything i can do to change that, if you dont go you will be in pain, and that will be your problem' (not verbatem, i cant remember exactly how he worded it because i was pissed that he not only interuppted me but he was getting bitchy toward me for absolutely no reason) AND again walks away while im in mid sentence....
3. this guy is a real jerk face.
   There is a lady there, poor thing. Shes older, obviously not all there, and yells help a lot... a lot... Now, I can understand how that would be frustrating to them, especially when its for ice water or something BUT like i said, shes old and not all there. Last weekend, she was saying she cant breath, he comes over and says Ive been watching you, you are breathing just fine, your lips are pink, your fine. WHAT? just because her lips are pink doesnt mean that shes not feeling like she cant breath!!! Ive been there, hell it could have been a panic attack, or she may just have a tight chest, or something, that doesnt mean she doesnt feel like she cant breath! DUDE! seriously?!? jerk.
4. Did I mention he THINKS he knows everything? the reality of "knowing everything"-
    I had to pee, and of course that meant coming off the machine to go ( havent ever come off to go to the bathroom, i always try to go before, but i was running behind and forgot to!) ... He didnt return my blood (i didnt know they had to do that!! I was informed by the techs, upon my return!) , he forgot to clamp the lines so blood got everywhere, he didnt even wipe it off me or the lines.
Another time, he forgot my heprin (and my dumbass didnt notice it, and neither did my tech until my lines clotted...)
Which, i know, probably simple mistakes, but when someone is a manager, you would suspect they would at least know how to take you off the machine...

Hes so rude, and cocky... i really cant stand him. I mentioned it to a tech, that i liked our old manager better (she still works there, she stepped down)
she kind of smirked and looked at me and said "i worked with him at another place..."  made me wonder if that was her way of saying 'ya hes a BLEEP' LOL

am i just being overly sensitive, or doesnt he seem like a crappy manager?

Sounds like a total A#% to me.  I loathe when someone acts like a know it all, esp when they seem clueless.  If they want to act so smart they at least should be able to back it up.  Dont back down.  Only you kno w how you feel and dont take his s%$#.

I have run into tech's who are horrible and just put my foot down and told them I refuse to have them hook me up. It's ruffled a few feathers, but they will usually do what I ask. The one time a horrible tech who I had asked not to have work on me came over to hook me up. I told him, not a chance and that I wanted someone else. He limped away, tail between his legs, but for me I knew it was in my best interest and so be it. I never saw him again. I don't know if he is still there or not But if he is gone, I don't feel guilty since he is the one who was lousy, not me.

I'm confused. Is he a nurse manager or a shift manager or the manager of the clinic? Where I went the clinic manager didn't touch patients. He didn't know how.

Either way, sounds like a jerk. It also sounds unsafe. There are places to report unsafe conditions. I think it's a sticky thread at the top of General Discussion.

ummm well i have a tiny clinic, like 12 chairs, and there is 2 nurses (one used to be the manager, but she stepped down) and he is a nurse, and the manager of the place. hes there every day, he does the same type of crap the nurse does, but the nurse is there, but if shes busy, or onbreak, he helps out.

My old clinic had 4 sections of 8 chairs each. I don't know the ratio of tech's to nurses, but I thnk there was usually 1 head nurse and then 2 other nurses. The rest were tech's, and I think there was one for each group.

The largest center in the area has 4 pod's of I think 14 chairs each. Then they have an inpatient floor also.

There is good and bad....

I have a solution; move to Australia and have dialysis here. The health care system here is world class. The education system here is also world class, so your son will be well looked after. You'll probably be in the market for a new boyfriend should you make the move, and as an Aussie male, I can proudly say that we're definitely world class!

not giving the blood back, forgetting to clamp, and not cleaning up the mess is NEGLIGENT.  Report the sob.  He should have known that the blood has to be given back when you take someone off the machine.  If it sits in the line while you're off, it can clot, not to mention, if fluid isn't circulating while you're off, there can be air in the line when you hook back up, which is dangerous for you.
