Hello dear friends,
Hoping all are doing fine.Yesterday & Saturday were 2 good days at my dialysis center.Cause these were the 2 days that I DID NOT have any muscle cramps in my legs, feet or my hands.I've been allow to sit up in my chair instead of reclining all the way back .I've learn that it seems to take forever to get the staff attention when I was reclining all the way back whenever I had muscle cramps. There are couple other patients that have started sitting up in their chairs as well.Since I've been sitting up in my chair.I've been able to move my feet & legs.more freely.Yet I've been told to let the staff know whenever I've those muscle cramps.I think a bell or a buzzer should be attach to the chair or to the machine. To get the staff attention.Cause it seems to take forever to get some help.
LOVE & Hugs to all,
Sandi

ya know Sandi, I had watched so many patients with cramps trying to get ahold of someone to either stop the 'take off' of fluid or add saline... I cant tell you how many times i went to get a tech for them as they 'seemed' to not hear there please for help. It made me so sad to the point that i hated to leave the center and those friends to fend for themselves. I loved that place except for that.. It just semed that cramps to the tecs were just a big ole inconvience to them, where as other alarm things were taken care of imediatly. I wish you better than that and yes, mabie a bell (if not abused of course) would be something to suggest..
